If you have ever experienced or are experiencing pain at the base of your big toe, this may mean that you are developing a bunion. It could also mean that you are experiencing tension in the foot and ankle.
A bunion is a painful bony bump that develops on the inside of the foot at the big toe joint and is often referred to as hallux valgus. Bunions develop slowly from experiencing pressure on the big toe joint which causes the big toe to lean toward the second toe.
